Plan Of Salvation

 

We Must Believe and Confess:
(Romans 10:8-10) ?But what does it say (the scripture)? "The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.? (that is, the Word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Our faith is expressed with our hearts (we believe) and with our mouth (speaking His Word). The moment we really believe that God sent His Son Jesus and that He died and rose again from the dead and we confess this with our lips we are saved (born again). We have accepted Him as our Savior.

 

We Are Saved By Grace Not Works And Good Deeds:
(Ephesians 2:8-9) "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." God mixes His grace and power with our faith and will. It takes God?s provision and our willingness to bring about the New Birth. When we repent and believe what God says (His Word), the Holy Spirit will bring His Life inside our hearts and we become new.

 

We Become A New Creature In Christ Jesus:
(2 Corinthians 5:17) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." The New Birth has made us completely whole on the inside. We have invited Jesus into our hearts and we have been made to be like Christ, we are new creatures. We must fill our minds and hearts with God?s Word so our thinking can be changed. Jesus wants us to become more like him.

 

(Colossians 3:10) "And have put on the new man who is renewed in the knowledge according to the image of Him who created him," Jesus welcomes us to the family. It is a great feeling knowing that God (our Father) has adopted us into His family. We have been washed clean and made whole by the precious blood of Jesus. We are free from our old life that was bound by satan, we are sons and daughters of God Almighty.
