STATEMENT OF FAITH - WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Believe

... the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

... that there is One God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
(Phil 2:6; John 1:14, 18; John 15:26)

... in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His ascension to the Right Hand of God the Father where He ever lives to make intercession for us.
(Luke 1:30-35; 2 Cor 5:21; Eph 1:18-23; Hebrews 9:1-15)

... in salvation for lost and sinful mankind, the personal reception of the Lord Jesus Christ and the regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential to go to Heaven.
(John 3:3-5; John 5:24; 1 John 5:11-13)

... in the Spiritual Unity of Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The people are the Church or Body of Christ and the building is where the Church meets.
(1 Cor 12:13, 14; Eph 2:19-22; Hebrews 10:25; 1 Peter 2:5)

... in water baptism by immersion is a commandment by the Lord to all believers. It is our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matt 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4; Col 2;12)

... in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a Holy Life.
(Phil 3:12-14; 1 Thess 3:12, 13; Hebrews 10:10-14)

... in healing for the human body wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. Healing is provided by the stripes of Jesus and is available for the world today just as much as redemption is.
(Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt 8:16-17; James 5:13-16; 1 Peter 2:24-25)

... that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent (following) to that of the New Birth and is received as a gift from God. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance to the Born Again Believer.
(John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 15-18, 37-38; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-6; 1 Cor 14:2, 39-40, Jude 20)

... in the blessed hope - the rapture of the Church of Christ's Coming; also in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule and reign for a thousand years.
(Matt 24:42-44, 1 Thess 4:16-17; Rev 4:1, 2; Rev 20:1-6)

... in the resurrection of both the saved and lost - they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life; and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.
(Revelation 20:11-15)

... In Standing to Sing

"Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high."
(2 Chronicals 20:19"

... In Clapping our Hands

"Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!"
(Psalms 47:1)

... In Lifting our Hands

"Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name." (Psalms 63:4)
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord." (Psalms 134:2
"I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;" (1 Tim 2:8)

... In Singing Choruses as well as Hymns

"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation(excess); but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord," (Ephesians 5:18-19)

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians 3:16)

... In Giving Audible Praise

"Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!" (Psalms 47:6)

"Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!" (Psalms 103:1)

"After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! "
"And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!"
(Revelation 19:1, 6)

... In Musical Instruments as a Part of the Worship Service

"Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"
(Psalms 150:3-6)

... Speaking and Singing in other Tongues and in English - The Highest form of Praise

"For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding."
(1 Corinthians 14:14-15)

... In Worshipping in Spirit and in Truth

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
(John 4:24)

"For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit,[a] rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,"
(Phillipians 3:3)

... In Prophecy

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:""...to another prophecy,..."
(1 Corinthians 12:7, 10)

... In Various kinds of Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues
"to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues."
(1 Corinthians 12:10)

"I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for[a] he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification."
(1 Corinthians 14:5)

... In Speaking with other Tongues

"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
(Acts 2:4)

"While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God."
(Acts 10:44-46)

"
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,"
(Jude 20:1)
